Born in Brazil, Julia is a historian specialising in the history of the body, medicine, and gender. Julia is an intersectional feminist. She focuses on rethinking gender in history and bringing history into contemporary debates, especially about feminism. You can read some of her work here: She also volunteers with The Vavengers.
